Dr. David Gamboa, MD.
David Gamboa, MD, has joined the Division of Pediatric Cardiology as an Assistant Professor. Dr. Gamboa is a pediatric electrophysiologist.
Following completion of his general pediatrics residency at Children’s Hospital & Research Center Oakland, Dr. Gamboa served as a Pediatric Chief Resident for one year. He completed a three-year pediatric cardiology fellowship at Advocate Hope Children’s Hospital in Oak Lawn, IL. After working for a year as a Pediatric Hospitalist in the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, he completed a one-year fellowship in Pediatric Electrophysiology at Duke University Medical Center. Dr. Gamboa is certified in Pediatrics and in Pediatric Cardiology by the American Board of Pediatrics.
Dr. Gamboa’s research interests include dyssynchrony related to chronic ventricular pacing, mechanisms of supraventricular tachycardia, and treatment of patients with Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome. He also has an interest in medical education as well as quality improvement related to catheter ablation.
